Crantini Cookies

Cranberries and Olives, though they may be an unlikely combo, they match wonderfully. How did this come about, it was in a dream. While feeling very lethargic, the cranberry and olive cookie popped into my head and would not go away until I tried to make them. The cranberry is a truly terrific fruit full of antioxidants. The olives provide iron and vitamin E which help makes these cookies a healthier treat. The Crantini Cookie brings together two great tastes in one terrific cookie.

Ginger Snaps

Crisp fresh baked Ginger Snaps can brighten up your day! No really, I've seen it happen. Made with Ginger, cinnamon and molasses, these longtime favorites have been topped with homemade candied ginger. Ginger has been used to ease stomach upset but is also now linked as a cancer fighter. (I am not suggesting that these cookies cure cancer.) Whether for health or simple pleasure, I like to enjoy them with a cup of hot tea but you may also try them with a Hot Tottie.

Serving Suggestions:
Serve cold or room temperature plated with citrus sherbert and a little creme fraiche.

Applesauce Loaf

If you enjoy apples, you will want to try this loaf bread. From the first time I visited an apple orchard while in kindergarten, I have been hooked on apples. (Thank goodness it is a healthy addiction.) I still remember my friend Pebbles and I going back to school with our apples and then making our own applesauce. I am pretty sure my Mom made her Applesauce Loaf shortly after and I knew it was meant for me. Made with cinnamon and spice and everything nice, I also added bits of apple for an extra treat.

Serving Suggestions: Serve room temperature or slightly warmed. Top with whipped cream.

Pumpkin Bread

Pumpkin. What else needs to be said? If you like pumpkin, you'll really love Mom's Pumpkin Bread. Nothing (except a turkey) says Thanksgiving like this delicious treat. Of course, I had to add a little more pumpkin to the original recipe to really make it sing. We did not serve this as dessert, it was always eaten with the meal at our house. My mother would top it with cream cheese, which I have only recently come to enjoy. Eat it hot or enjoy it days later (it if make s it that long).

Serving Suggestions:  Serve room temperature or warm a slice in the microwave for 20 - 30 seconds. Add a little whipped cream and your favorite fruit for something truly special. For Longer Shelf life please keep products refrigerated.

Sweet Potato Blueberry Scones

There time has finally come. Sitting at home in CA, the idea of a sweet potato blueberry muffin came while talking with a good friend. From there my husband suggested a scone and years later, the scone was born. It started as a way to marry two really healthy fruits together in a product that would be good to eat. Sweet potatoes are rich in beta-carotene. As with all of D'Sweets products, it is lovingly made and extensively tested. (Thanks to all of the Dallas/Irving Tasters for your tireless efforts.)

Serving Suggetions: Serve room termperature or warmed to allow the spices to come out.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake

The Sour Cream coffee cake is just plain good. As many good things we had in our house, you would think we would have all been overweight but that was not the case, even with this coffee cake delight. Everything is made the old fashioned way and does not include trans fats. This coffee cake has a special treat with more sugar and cinnamon mixed in the middle of the cake. Whether with coffee or tea, you'll love every bite!

Serving Suggetions: Serve room termperature or warmed to allow the spices to come out.
